What is AMD?
Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD)
- AMD is a common eye condition that primarily affects central vision, typically developing later in life.
- Risk factors include ageing, smoking, an unhealthy diet, UV exposure, high blood pressure, being overweight, and a family history of the condition.
- Although AMD does not lead to complete blindness, it can make tasks like reading, recognising faces, and seeing fine details more difficult.

Symptoms of AMD

The car park entrance is located off Drymen road at the Clyde Property end of Melville House. If driving towards Bearsden Cross one should turn right before Clyde Property.
